Description
The Chief Bunker Rake is a two-sided bunker rake designed to support the increasingly popular “Aussie Style” of bunker maintenance.
One smooth side rolls and firms the vertical face of the bunker, while the ridged side scrapes and levels the bottom of the trap to create a consistent playing surface. This design helps eliminate the deep plow marks often left behind by traditional bunker rakes.
Golf course superintendents are increasingly adopting the Aussie Style method to maintain smooth bunker faces and consistent sand conditions. Approximately one-third of golf courses in the United States now use this approach, including Quail Hollow, host of the 2017 PGA Championship.
The Chief will come in a 20″ (51 cm) head and will have three different handles:
